  • The minimum age to rent a car with Costa Rent a Car is 21 years. A valid driver's licence held for a minimum of 2 years is required.
  • You will need:
    • A valid driver's licence
    • A passport or national ID card
    An international driving licence is not required for driving in Montenegro.
  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, and cash. Payment is made at the time of vehicle pickup.
  • No. A credit card is not required. You can book online and pay by card or cash upon arrival.

  • Booking with us is simple:
    1. Enter your pickup location, dates, and times on our website

    4. Confirm — you will receive a voucher by email within 24 hours

  • Yes. Cancellations are free of charge up to 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Contact us at: info@carrentaltivat.com
  • No worries — our agent will wait for you. Make sure to provide your flight number and arrival time when booking so we can track any delays.
  • Yes, extensions are possible. Please contact us at least 24 hours before your rental expires. During peak summer season, availability may be limited, but we will do our best to accommodate you.
  • Our agent will meet you at the terminal exit holding a sign with your name. Meet & Greet service is included in the rental price at no extra cost.
  • Our working hours are 08:00–20:00. Pickup or return outside of these hours is available upon request.
  • Yes, on request. We can deliver or collect the vehicle at your hotel or agreed meeting point. Contact us at info@carrentaltivat.com for more details.
  • Yes, but only with written permission from our agent at the time of vehicle pickup. Crossing the border without prior approval is not permitted.
  • Yes. All our vehicles come with unlimited mileage — no extra charges, no hidden fees.
  • All parking tickets and traffic fines incurred during the rental period are the sole responsibility of the renter.
    1. Call the police immediately and wait for their arrival
    2. Contact Costa Rent a Car on the number stated in your rental agreement
    3. Collect the details of all parties involved
    Maximum liability in case of damage confirmed by police is EUR 500. Zero tolerance on alcohol and drugs.
  • Yes. The vehicle is provided with a full tank and must be returned full. If returned with less fuel, the cost of missing fuel plus a refuelling service fee will be charged.
  • Please return the vehicle at the agreed time and location, in the same condition as received:
    • Full tank of fuel
    • Clean interior — excessively dirty vehicle will be charged 50 EUR
    • On time — a grace period of 1 hour is accepted free of charge
  • A grace period of 1 hour is accepted free of charge. After that, an additional full day rental cost will be charged.
  • No. Rental charges remain the same regardless of early return. No refunds apply for unused rental days.
  • Loss of car keys is charged at 300 EUR. Loss of both keys and vehicle documents is charged at 500 EUR.
